One of the most endearing characteristics of hockey players is they have feelings and aren't afraid to show them. Us fans can be emotional too and being that way doesn't at all mean you are "weak" or any of the bullshit we hear- it means you are strong. My best friend defended me and supported me when I first became a hockey fan and was getting bullied for it. Every game is emotional sometimes for me as he died of cancer 8 years ago. I hope Oskar Lindblom is all better now and never has to worry anymore- that one and the Cave tribute touched me in a huge way. We have the best athletes in hockey and also the sport with the most actual values. I love our players.

Slew footing is far more dangerous than tripping. Usually, the player falls awkwardly to the ice, sometimes backwards. Injuries can and do occur. I recommend an automatic double minor--4 minutes in the sin bin. The referees would have to have a new signal. The referee pantomimes a kick which is what a slew foot is. For the more egregious slew foots, a referee can assess a 5 minute major and a possible game misconduct.
